Jan Møller Mikkelsen

Jan is a Senior Advisor on the Frazier Life Sciences team with over 30 years of experience as a biopharmaceutical executive.

Jan joined the Frazier Life Sciences team in 2022. He founded Ascendis Pharma (NASDAQ: ASND) and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as a board member. He previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeCycle Pharma A/S., as well as President of the Pharmaceutical Division of Maxygen, Inc. Prior to that, Jan co-founded ProFound Pharma A/S (acquired by Maxygen, Inc.), where he served as Co-Chief Executive Officer. He has also held various positions at Novo Nordisk A/S, including Vice President of Protein Discovery. In addition, Jan serves as Chairman of the board of directors for Hummingbird Bioscience.

Jan received a Cand. Scient. degree in Biochemistry from the University of Odense, Denmark, and pursued his post-doctoral research at Children’s Hospital in Oakland, CA.
